IDAHO VOTING IS BY ABSENTEE BALLOT in May, Polls will not be open.  Go to this website to request an absentee ballot:  Scroll down about one third of the web page to "Request a Ballot."  You will need your Idaho driver's license handy.

As mentioned in the last report, we have two trips planned for 2020. The first trip takes place May 10-18. It is the Heritage of America trip. Five members are going. The second trip is scheduled for September 25-October 2. It is Discover Mackinac Island.  The due date for the deposit for this trip is March 18. Remember brochures for these trips were given to your unit president at the August 2019 state board meeting.

I will be attending all three conferences in April, and will be asking for ideas for travel destinations for 2021. I will be meeting with my Collette travel representative in May, and would like to have some ideas for that meeting. I will then have brochures available for the 2021 trip at the August 2020 state board meeting.

Remember by taking a trip you can earn money for your unit. We are reimbursed 10% of the total cost of the trip. The state receives 20% of the total and 80% is shared by the units that take part in the travel. If you choose to travel with Collette on your own, let them know you are a member of Retired Educators Association of Idaho. Your unit will receive the 10% of the cost of the trip.
